North American At this year's International Auto Show in Detroit, Toyota debuted an entire line of Prius models, including the intriguing Prius C Concept. They still stress that this is a concept, but a small, sporty hybrid hatchback is surely on its way.

According to our sources, the C (which stands for "City") will be 18 to 22 inches shorter than the regular Prius. That should make it approximately the same size as the Yaris 5-door liftback.

The 2013 Toyota Prius C will have a smaller, sportier four-door hatchback design that will make it more fun to drive. The design was originally conceived in Europe but is likely to appeal to North American audiences as well.

While the new Prius was designed to improve gas mileage in the city with 48 mpg, but it also seems to do very well on the highway with an incredible 51 mpg.
